That scout can also extend the range of your combat stack, have the scout attack a guard camp and it pulls the two strongest stacks within a range of three hexes - save yourself some movement, a scout should be the official 7th member of every stack, building roads, scouting, picking up stuff the army would have to move out of its way and initiating with industrial culture they can even prospect. While your stack clears out one corner have a scout build a road into the next area and when it's moving time it will be that much faster. Connecting cities, free cities and allies is a no brainer - but it can even be used in preparation of an assault or new expedition. ![]() ![]() Roads can be build by every single unit in the game once the imperium upgrade is ready. A lone goldmine you'll never put a city close to for example is a perfect spot, it's basically free once you paid of the initial investment. ![]()
